Thought I’d just go over a few of the things I needed to do to get Word Press up and running… mainly as a reminder when I go to other sites and set it up there.
First up, I logged into my cpanel with my site username and password (NOT with the reseller details), and clicked on Fantastico – right down on the last row of options.
Then clicked on Word Press on the left, and simply followed the steps of adding names, email addresses etc – pretty straight forward stuff.
I CHOSE to install WordPress at the ROOT level of the server… I just think it looks better without another directory in the pathname when looking at the pages…
Hit the finish installation button, and seconds later it’s done!
You can now click through to the WordPress Admin section and configure your basic WordPress installation…
