Another good reason why it pays to “Test. Test. And Test again!”
I was just checking things out to see how it all was working, and discovered that the SEARCH routine was NOT reporting the results I expected.
I’d type in all sorts of words to check, and if I was lucky, I’d only get 1 or 2 results listed.
What the???
About an hour or two later, I finally worked out the cause of the problem!
Apparently, when you install UTW (Ultimate Tag Warrior) for some reason, the search routine ONLY returns posts that have been SAVED WITH TAGS AFTER the install… i.e. posts with tags.
Thankfully I only have a few posts at this stage (6), so it’s not that much of a drama to go back in (MANAGE/POSTS/EDIT) and ADD SOME TAGS and SAVE the post.
Note – you MUST add a tag or two to the older posts. Simply saving them without adding a tag won’t make them available to the search routine!
Apparently there is another fix – one you’d just have to use if you have LOTS of previous posts – and it involves editing the actual plug-in file. But since I like to keep things simple… I’m only gonna give you the link to the discussion.
